Information we collect from you
The personal information you are asked to provide, and the reasons why, are made clear at the point we ask for it.
- When you send an enquiry through a form on this website: your name, email address, phone number, your message, the property you asked about, and the IP address the message was sent from.
- When you ask us to sell your property: in addition, the details you give us about the property, such as its location, asking price and number of bedrooms.
- When you ask us to find a property for you: in addition, your budget and the number of bedrooms you are looking for.
- When you contact us directly by email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, email address, phone number, the contents of your message and any attachments you send us, and any other information you choose to give us.
Log files
Like almost every website, our web server keeps standard log files of visits. These record information such as the internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, date and time of the visit, the pages requested and the page you came from. They are used to administer and secure the website, to find faults and to keep the site working well, and are not used to identify you.
Visit statistics
We measure how the website is used with our own analytics software, which runs on our own server. It is set up not to use cookies, and the data it records, such as pages viewed, how long visits last and the type of device used, is not shared with anyone else. We use it to understand which pages are useful and to improve the website.
How we use your personal data
We use your personal data to provide our services to you:
- To answer your enquiry and, when you ask us to, to help you buy or sell a property. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then the performance of that contract.
- To keep a record of enquiries, and to protect the website and our email from misuse and spam. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the business and the website securely.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example keeping records for tax purposes where a sale goes ahead.
- Where you have consented, to send you details of properties and offers that may interest you. You are free to withdraw this consent at any time by emailing us.
We respect your privacy at all times. We do not sell your personal data, and it will never be disclosed or shared with others without your consent, unless we are required to do so by law.
Sharing or disclosing your personal data
Whilst we will never disclose or share your data with others without your consent, we use third party processors to provide our services. These companies process or store information on our behalf, for web hosting, email, invoicing and payments, and for recording the choice you make in our cookie banner (see the cookie policy). We make sure that every processor acting on our behalf acts in accordance with this privacy notice.
If you go ahead with buying or selling a property, we will share the details needed with the other party, the lawyers and the notary involved, with your knowledge.
How long we keep your data
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and afterwards for any period the law requires, for example for tax records where a sale goes ahead. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Spain's Ley Orgánica 3/2018 on the protection of personal data, you have the right to access the personal information that Tenerife Property Consultancy processes about you. You can ask us for information about:
- the personal data we hold about you
- the categories of personal data concerned
- the purposes of the processing
- who your personal data has been or will be disclosed to
- how long we will keep your personal data
- if we did not collect the data directly from you, where it came from
We would like you to be fully aware of all your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
- The right of access: you have the right to request copies of your personal data.
- The right to rectification: you have the right to ask us to correct any information you believe is inaccurate, and to complete information you believe is incomplete.
- The right to erasure: you have the right to ask us to delete your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to restrict processing: you have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to object to processing: you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
- The right to data portability: you have the right to ask us to transfer the data we have collected to another organisation, or directly to you, under certain conditions.
- The right to withdraw consent: where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything we did with your consent before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@tenerifepropertyconsultancy.com or write to us at the registered office above. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
Cookie policy
This is the Cookie Policy for Tenerife Property Consultancy, accessible from https://www.tenerifepropertyconsultancy.com/.
What are cookies
A cookie is a small text file sent from a website and stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser. The next time you visit that site, your device can send the cookie back, so the site can remember useful information such as your preferences. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or to make them work more efficiently.
To learn more about what cookies are, and how to control or delete them, visit aboutcookies.org for detailed guidance.
The cookies we use
This website uses as few cookies as possible. When you visit, a cookie banner asks for your consent. The only cookie currently set on this website is:
- CookieScriptConsent (strictly necessary): set by our cookie banner, provided by Cookie-Script.com, to remember the cookie choice you made so that the banner does not ask you again on every page.
When you make a choice in the cookie banner, a record of that choice (the date and time, the page you were on and the choice you made) is sent to Cookie-Script.com, so that we can show that consent was given.
Our visit statistics are set up not to use cookies. This website does not use advertising or social media tracking cookies, and it does not embed videos, maps or sharing buttons from other companies. Links to our social media pages are plain links: those websites only set their own cookies if you click through to them, and their own privacy policies then apply.
Changing your choice and disabling cookies
You can change your cookie choice at any time through the cookie banner's settings. You can also prevent cookies from being set by adjusting the settings in your browser; see your browser's help pages for how to do this. Blocking or deleting cookies on other websites may stop some of their features from working, and if you delete the CookieScriptConsent cookie our banner will simply ask for your choice again.

As long as the website and the information and services on it are provided free of charge, we will not be liable for any loss or damage of any nature.
